Mountain Railways

A total of 6 mountain railways operate in Saalbach Hinterglemm during the summer: the Kohlmaisbahn, the Schattberg X-press, and the Schattberg Sprinter in Saalbach, as well as the Westgipfelbahn, the 12er KOGEL Bahn, and the Hochalmbahn in Hinterglemm. You can ride all of them for free with the JOKER Card.
Please note the operating hours of the individual railways.

Valley terminus train & hiking bus

Once an hour, the fun slow train runs between Lengau and Lindlingalm. Here you will find the valley train schedule. If you have any questions about the train or the timetable, please feel free to contact the reception desk at Hotel Austria at any time!

Käpt’n Hook adventure pool

Swimming fun for all the family in the Käpt’n Hook adventure pool in Saalbach. Water slides, wild water channel, wide slides and tube slides and much more make your swim day an unforgettable experience.

Expert and experienced hiking guides offer up to 10 hikes per week. In addition to hiking, they will tell you about nature, its inhabitants, and the region. There are also traditional lectures where you can learn exciting facts about the alpine habitat and local life.

Local history and Ski museum

Experience the history of Saalbach Hinterglemm up close. From a small mountain farming village to a world-famous World Cup tourist resort. In 2025, we will be celebrating 30 years of the Saalbach Ski Museum – a special exhibition invites guests on a journey through time.

The well-maintained sports center invites you to play tennis outdoors and indoors in the summer, while in the winter, skates and ice sticks are often unpacked in the outdoor area for ice skating and curling on the natural ice rink! There is also a great climbing tower for different levels where you can let off steam!
