Trick Fountains – Hellbrunn

Markus Sittikus used to entertain the castle’s guests here and play little tricks on them. You can look forward to amazing water fountains, grottos, and a special dose of wet and wild fun – and a true cultural gem of Salzburg that you won’t find anywhere else! Waterfalls – Krimml

In the Hohe Tauern National Park in Salzburg, you can experience a truly unique natural spectacle: the Krimml Waterfalls are Europe’s largest waterfalls. Salzwelten – Hallein

A day trip to the world’s oldest visitor mine is a fascinating journey through time. The mine train takes you deep into the Dürrnberg, where you’ll learn, see, and experience how salt (the white gold) has shaped people’s lives and work and truly shaped the course of history. New: “The Missing Salt Amulet,” an exciting mystery scavenger hunt for explorers of all ages.

Wild & Erlebnispark – Ferleiten

Ferleiten Wildlife Park is home to around 200 Alpine animals – visitors have the unique opportunity to admire the animals up close in the spacious grounds. The walking path through the park is barrier-free, stroller-friendly, and suitable for everyone. If you want to take a short break along the way or study the animals more closely, you’ll find nice resting spots along the path. Tip: Guided tours are available for larger groups of 12 or more – here you’ll learn even more exciting facts about the animals!

High mountain reservoirs – Kaprun

Take the convenient public bus or the lift up the mountain to 2,000 meters above sea level. Here, the high-altitude reservoirs await you with their crystal-clear, turquoise waters. The reservoirs are an impressive testament to one of the region’s greatest engineering marvels – and thus a popular destination! If you’re up for the challenge, you can even conquer the dam wall via a via ferrata.

Zoo – Salzburg

The Salzburg Zoo is a so-called Geo Zoo – meaning that animals here are not kept according to systematic or practical criteria, but rather according to geographical ones. So lions are near zebras, bears are together with arctic foxes, and so on. Visitors are essentially guided through different continents and discover the animals as they naturally live together. This is also intended to preserve the animals’ hunting instincts and natural behaviors. A wonderful outing for the whole family.

Archery Course in the Region – Hinterglemm, Viehhofen, Maria Alm

Great fun for the whole family: you can rent all the equipment at the rental shop, and after a brief training session with our experts, you’re ready to go and set off on your adventure. Along the way, 28 targets await you, one of which is even moving. The activity takes 2 to 4 hours – depending on the group size and your skill level. Guided hikes through the course and introductory courses can also be booked upon request.

Kaprun Local History Museum

In the main building, which is over 300 years old, you’ll find the wonderfully presented history of Kaprun. In the summer, changing special exhibitions on current topics are a highlight. Every Friday from spring through fall, the Katschner Bakery bakes traditional bread specialties in a freestanding oven.
